Agency is the most important thing you need.
Shame is second. Realise you can just do things. Cold email everyday. Apply to YC every batch.
Spend as much money as you can to be as fast as you can. Time is the only thing that matters. Money will come if you are talented. Just be talented.
Relationships compound the hardest. Be outgoing, meet people, put yourself out there.
Be intentional on what you want to do. If you don’t know or are just starting, doing anything is fine.
Taste matters if you want to be technical. Build as much as you can to gain taste. Get your friends to critique what you build. Be shameless.
Post what you build. Posting gives you faster iteration cycles and gets you to meet new people.
Always seek to increase your surface area of luck. Go to events, post about what you do, meet new cool people.
You can learn and meet people faster and better outside of school than in school if you’re high agency enough.
Realise most people are kind hearted and want to help you. If you don’t see this in your life you are not hanging out with the right people.
Do scary/uncomfortable things. If you are uncomfortable, chances are you inherently avoid it, even though it may help you grow.
